Calle Visitación
This unit was purchased as a pied-à-terre for the new owner; with just under 500 square feet the main focus for this project was to maximize the limited space available for multiple uses. In lieu of dedicated storage the owner wanted to free up as much floorspace as possible.
Used mostly on the weekends for social gatherings, one of the two original bedrooms was converted to a dining room. A triangular table was selected with benches to allow seating for six adults, comfortably.
Blue and mustard were chosen as the dominant colors, along with lacquered wood and brass to match the detailing of the restored doors and associated hardware. Bright afternoon sun allowed the placement of large plants. A modular sofa was chosen for flexibility, providing enough floor space for a guest mattress or daily indoor workouts.
