Kyle Nickel is a trained designer and artist. Born in the San Francisco Bay of California, he has spent time living in various cities in California, Vermont, France, Brazil, the Virgin Islands, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay, and now resides in Spain.
His art focuses on uncovering impacts of climate change and educating his audience on issues that need attention. Bold colors and shapes are inspired by his time in South America. The aerial perspective is drawn from his education and experience in Landscape Architecture.
Kyle's interior design style is influenced by the various cultures he's lived within and how they traditionally treat transitions between indoor and outdoor space. Growing up with a grandmother from Tokyo, he is intrinsically drawn to natural materials and the simplicity of Japanese aesthetic. Layering the decorative movements from mid-century Europe brings a unique style with unmistakable roots in California casual.
